Add Global Notifications

Global notifications can be added to the portal and will show up for any user on the first page the user is redirected to after login (typically the dashboard).

The global notification will show up for users each time they log in, but will be dismissed if they click the X in the message or navigate to another page.

To add a new global notification, go to https://www.3blmedia.com/block/166. You can also go to Structure > Block layout > Custom block library in the admin menu and then click on Global Notification.

Enter text into the Message field and make sure the Message status toggle is enabled. Click Save to set the global notification.

In order to remove a global notification, go back to https://www.3blmedia.com/block/166 and uncheck the Message status toggle. This will cause the global notification to not appear for any user, even if there is text in the Message field.
