Hero & Featured FMRs

Setting up News Page Highlights and the Daily and Weekly 3BL News Alerts is done in the Hero & Featured FMRs section of the admin menu. Hover over "Content" in the admin menu and select "Hero & Featured FMRs". This feature is only available to Content Specialists and Admins.

Here you will see a list of published FMRs, sorted in descending order by Publish Date. On the right side of the table you will see all of the options for adding FMRs to the News Page Highlights or the 3BL News Alerts. You will probably need to scroll horizontally to see the whole table.

The "Hero" column determines which FMRs will be featured in the Newsfeed. There are 4 spots for featured FMR in the Newsfeed, so the top 4 FMRs with "Hero" checked off will fill those spots, based on Publish Date. Only the 4 most recent FMRs will be displayed, so there is no need to remove the "Hero" checkmark for older FMRs.

Only the first featured FMR will display an image. If there is no image in that FMR, the large tile will leave the image area blank, resulting in a large amount of white space. It is recommended that only FMRs with at least 1 image are selected to be featured. The last column on the right side of the table is "Image Count", which shows the number of images in each FMR to make the selection process easier.

In order to select featured FMRs, select FMRs in the table using the check boxes. Multiple FMRs can be selected at once. When at least one FMR is selected, an action menu will appear at the bottom of the page.

Open the Action dropdown menu and select "Make selected content sticky". Then click the "Apply to selected items" button that appears in the bottom right corner. A confirmation page will then be displayed to confirm if you want to execute the action.

Click "Execute action" to finalize your selection and a progress page will be displayed. After processing has finished, you will be taken back to the Hero & Featured FMR table and the selected FMR(s) should now have the "Hero" column checked off.

Note: If there are 4 or more FMRs with Hero checked off that have a more recent Publish Date than the one you selected, that FMR will not appear in the featured FMR section.

The process for selecting FMRs for the daily and weekly 3BL News Alerts is similar to selecting the featured FMRs. On the Hero & Featured FMRs page, select the FMRs that should be included in the News Alert. From the Action dropdown menu, select the appropriate action:

Then click the "Apply to selected items" button in the bottom right corner. On the following confirmation page, verify the FMRs that were selected and click the "Execute action" button. After processing has finished, you will be taken back to the Hero & Featured FMR table and the selected FMR(s) should now have the appropriate News Alert column(s) checked off.
